| State police working to identify pedestrian killed in Franklin County crash Virginia State Police and the Roanoke medical examiner's office are working to identify the woman who was hit by four vehicles in Franklin County on Friday, according to a news release. State police say the woman was killed while walking in the center of the left southbound travel lane on U.S. 220.
