| Pedestrian critically injured on US 501 after hit-and-run near Campbell County line ... northern Halifax County near the Campbell County line. The pedestrian, who was struck by a car on U.S. 501 about a half mile north of Hog Wallow Road (Route 632), suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Lynchburg General Hospital, according to a news release from Virginia State Police.
